Children's Day Program

853 School at the Center

The Children's Day Program at the Center is a 12-month educational program supporting children ages 5 - 21, who have an educational classification of Autism, Intellectual Disability or Multiple Disabilities. Students are referred to the program through their home district when their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and educational needs cannot be met in their current placements.

Our mission is to provide quality educational programming to increase each students' level of independence, so he or she can participate more effectively in the community.

We currently support students living in Nassau and Suffolk County as well as New York City. Classrooms have staffing ratios of 6:1:2 or 9:1:3.
