Pathway to Employment (PTE)
Pathway to Employment is ideal for new graduates and individuals who have limited employment and/or community experiences. Through this service we discover who an individual is, how they learn, what interests them and to see if they can acquire the skills for getting paid employment. This is a wraparound pre-employment service that offers a customized assessment and discovery process coupled with three unpaid workplace internships to help each person identify a career or vocational direction. Developing a plan for achieving competitive, integrated employment includes training in job readiness skills and work exploration. Within 12 months, our Pathway’s service will help the person crystalize their career objectives and produce a detailed career plan. This plan will be used to help guide the individual’s future employment supports and prepare the person for supported employment services. PTE is an Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Waiver funded program.
