On Friday, February 7th, five students from our Children's Residence attended A Night To Shine Prom, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation at Carle Place High School. To prepare for their big night, the students had their shoes shined, hair and makeup done and were given flowers to wear. They traveled from our Woodbury campus in a limousine, were welcomed by the Carle Place HS Band and were cheered on by family and friends as they walked the red carpet. Once inside, they had their photos taken, played carnival games, sang and danced the night away. A room was set up with amazing food while high school students played the piano, guitar and sang. There were even massages, caricature drawings and baskets raffled off to caregivers and family members as the students enjoyed the prom. The students and staff had a wonderful, magical evening and can't wait until the Center hosts its own prom this June!
