The Center’s Nursing Department provides round-the-clock oversight of routine care and supports to maintain and improve health through treatments, monitoring of chronic conditions and identification/treatment of acute conditions for all individuals served. The nursing department provides training to all staff on health maintenance, medication administration, signs and symptoms of illness along with any other specialized training needed.

Nutritional status and needs are also monitored by the nursing department. Staff are provided ongoing training regarding diet orders, food consistency and any additional supports needed. Ongoing meal observations by nursing ensure that all diet orders are followed as directed.

Nursing is also a liaison with medical providers to ensure complete, appropriate and timely medical care and coordination of services. Nurses then communicate findings and treatments to families and staff.

Please note that there is RN availability twenty four hours a day to ensure proper evaluation of all medical concerns and to provide staff with appropriate direction for the care of the individuals.
